The NDCS is the UK's leading charity for deaf children and their parents. The website has lots of useful resources such as leaflets and information to print off, plus a good chat forum for parents to discuss various issues. Well worth a visit.

Delta (Deaf Education through Listening and TAlking) is a national charity which supports and develops the Natural Aural Approach to the education of deaf children.

The Royal National Institute for the Deaf is the largest charity representing the 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK.

Royal Association for Deaf People helps deaf people get the most out of life. They have a number of services including deaf centres that run skills training and self help groups for families with deaf children and young people.

Croydon Deaf club is a sports and social club for Deaf adults in the Croydon area. They meet every Friday night from 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. at Chatsworth Hall, Chatsworth Road, Central Croydon.

The Elizabeth Foundation - www.elizabeth-foundation.org
The Elizabeth Foundation is a voluntary organisation for deaf babies, pre-school deaf children from 0-5 years, and their parents. They provide - nationwide and without charge - parent centered services for babies and young children with a hearing loss and offers their families support, education and encouragement. They run correspondence courses for parent of deaf children to help them better communicate.

Run in partnership with Croydon Council, the CPPS supports parents with children with special educational needs. they provide help with assessments, statements, reviews etc. They have trained volunteers (parents with experience of having children with special needs) that can help you though the education process.

Face to Face is a network of trained volunteer befrienders who can help parents come to terms with the news that their child has a disability. Every Face to Face befriender is a parent too – someone whose own child has a disability. They know what it’s like to cope with a new diagnosis and can offer support parent-to-parent.
